Synopsis
The Xavier Institute for Higher Learning is an extremely elite and prestigious post-secondary (read: college) educational institution located in upstate New York. Closely affiliated with its feeder school, the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, it shares a campus and resources with the high school.
Unbeknownst to the general public, the Xavier Institute is also haven for mutants over the age of 18. Along with the serene campus, small class sizes, and world-class library, the Xavier Institute also offers a safe and secure environment in which to explore and discover one's mutant gifts.
Recruitment
The Xavier Institute will open its doors to mutants over the age of 18 who are looking to continue their studies at a post-secondary level (read: college). Characters can be graduates of Xavier's School or have joined into the Institute directly. They must be comfortable with the philosophy of Xavier's dream of peaceful mutant-human coexistence, but do not need to actually fight for it.
You can write yourself directly into the Xavier Institute in your background, or use +request to set up a recruitment at any point once you're on the grid. However, please note that the Xavier Institute is not publicly known at this point. You will need to manufacture some way that your character came to the attention of the school and was subsequently sought out by them (i.e. you don't find the school, it finds you). Alternatively, it is possible to set up a background connection between parents, professors, etc. and Xavier. Please talk to staff for more information.
