To defend what was, and the dream of what could be.
Synopsis
Excalibur is a superhero team based out of the UK. They make their headquarters on Muir Island, located off the coast of Scotland. Excalibur is loosely affiliated with the X-Men, as the two teams share a common goal. To this end, they will often share information and resources, and one team would come to the aid of the other in a time of need.
While the X-Men are battling robots and mutant terrorists in Manhattan, Excalibur works closely with the UK's Weird Happenings Organization (WHO) to investigate supernatural and paranormal occurences.
Recruitment
Excalibur is open to any UK-based character. They will need to be a powered mutant in order to fight on the team, but associate member positions are open for non-mutant characters as well (please contact staff before proceeding with a non-mutant associate member). Your character will need to be comfortable with the philosophy of peaceful human-mutant coexistence and be generally good-aligned (shades of gray and anti-heroes are acceptable).
You can write yourself directly into Excalibur in your background, or use +request to set up a recruitment at any point once you're on the grid.
Please note that Excalibur is located in a remote area of Scotland and as such runs as a separate mini-grid. While trips to NYC are possible to arrange, we frown upon characters constantly popping back and forth (even with advanced technology, assume the flight is about 3-4 hours each way, or 5-6 for a commercial flight). Due to the smaller nature of the Excalibur grid, we consider this an extra alt slot: you may still do up to three mutants and unlimited humans for the New York grid.
