Fresh from the shower, Lorna is currently wrapped in one of those fluffy towel dress things. Her shoulder length green hair is wrapped up in another towel in an oversized turban on her head. With her toes propped up on the chest that doubles as a coffee table in her living room she proceeds to paint her toenails a lovely shade of purple. The knock on her door, comes as a little bit of a surprise, but it could be the neighbour from across the hall. Getting up slowly, she walks on her heels toward the door, making sure her toenails don't get messed up from the carpet.
Who knows what runs through the minds of young children when they're bored because as Lorna opens the door, three of the little things take off in a run. "Hey!! What are—?" Lorna steps out into the hallway for only a moment and before she has a chance to turn around there's a slam from behind her. "Oh god…" is the whimper from the green haired young woman, trapped outside of her apartment… in a towel. So less than two minutes after that, there's a knock on the penthouse door of the only person she vaguely knows in the building.
"It's open!"
Shirtless. Sweating. Sexy. That would be The Great One, Alex Masters. He's currently in the process of working out. He's right on the floor, doing a set of push ups that looks like he's been doing for a long time. From the glistening that's coming off those muscles that are all over his arms and chest. He can't help that he's working out in the main area. Whatever he's counting, it's being counted in his head, but his eyes are turned up towards the door at this moment, so he can see just who he's given permission to come into his not-so-humble abode.
By this time, the towel that was wrapped around Lorna's head has been taken down to give her just a little more cover against someone seeing her. Her toes aren't yet dry, so the long trip up the stairs was spent on her heels, heels that are a little bit sore. So a second knock, one a little more frantic than the first, is joined with her voice. "Alex? It's Lorna Dane… uhm.. I don't know if you remember me? But I got locked out of my apartment. Can I use your phone?"
The Great One realizes that he's probably going to have to get up and finishes up his set really quick. He's hopping to his feet and snatching up a hand towel, wiping at his forehead as he makes his way over to the door. Which he pulls open. "Well. I can honestly say I've never heard that line before." Alex winks, stepping back to allows Lorna free passage into his apartment. "At least you're wearing my favorite outfit." Alex smirks.
The furious red blush on her cheeks is the tip of the iceberg of the testament to Lorna's humiliation at that point. As she baby steps through the door on her heels, she gives him a wavering little smile. "I was in the hall when my door closed on me." It actually never occurs to her, never at the moment of panic anyway, that she could just use her ability to get her out of the mess. "Uhm, do you have a t-shirt or something I can borrow? Or sweats? I feel a little…" Exposed? Naked? "…breezy."
Alex kicks the door closed behind him, as he turns to look at Lorna. "Of course. But on two conditions." Alex flashes a bit of a smile, moving up behind Lorna and reaching out with both of his strong, glistening arms to wrap around her for a moment. Space Invasion. "One? You let me take you to dinner this weekend." He's going to just wait for his answer on this one before he even decides to go for the second condition.
And there is it again, that feeling where your heart flips upside down in a sommersault before the rush of tingly happens. Turning her head a little to look up at him with a smile, Lorna can't help but nod. "Uhm… Yeah, definitely!" That was completely unexpected, but wow. "Friday or Saturday?" Not that she has plans for either day, even if she did, they'd probably be broken. This IS Alex Masters.
"Both." comes the response from Alex, as he makes sure to give the girl in his arms a bit of a squeeze. Maybe he's just checking for some delicious curvature. "Oh, the second condition? Don't scream." Lorna may find herself getting scooped up into the strong and masculine arms of The Alex Masters. He's got a smile on his face, to make sure that she doesn't think he's planning anything more than just some fun.
She can't help it really, when Alex lifts her up a little squeal is let out that's followed quickly by a bubbling giggle. The towel that used to be in Lorna's hair drops onto the floor as she wraps her arms around his neck to support herself. Her feet kick lightly and very playfully over his arm. "Sorry, I broke that second condition," she laughs, "but you caught me by surprise. So it doesn't count!" The favor she asked him is conveniently forgotten for the moment, she doesn't really need to use the phone anyway.
"Well. At least now I know you're a screamer. We're getting somewhere." Alex makes it a point to smirk after saying this and he uses his superior strength to carry her off towards the more open part of his living area. Where they can pass by the awesome entertainment things and whatever else. He's much too smiley at this moment, but that's neither here nor there. Within the next moment, he's aiming to slide Lorna down onto the amazing sofa, where the phone is also located (on the table next to it, anyway), "You sit here and look beautiful. And I'll see if I can't grab you something scantily clad to wear." Wink.
As she's slid into the sofa, Lorna lets go her hold from around Alex's neck and tries to straighten the towel. "T-shirt and sweats?" she asks hopefully, after all, she's just in a towel at the moment. When he leaves to find something for her to wear, she picks the receiver up and begins dialing the number to the security desk down on the first floor. She lets it ring for a while before giving up and hanging the phone back up. Perhaps the door man is busy on another call, or occupied with something else. "There's no answer, can I wait here for a while and try again in a bit?" She calls into the other room.
"If by awhile you mean spend the night… hell yes!" Those are the words that come from the back room, as Alex gets his rummaging around on. He manages to return fairly quickly, with a wifebeater hanging over his shoulder and some sweats, indeed. Grinning, he tosses both of them at the hottie on his sofa. "You know. I can honestly say, since our first encounter, I've been unable to get you off my mind."
Catching the items of clothing, Lorna gets up from the sofa and gives Alex a big smile. "Really? Uhm.. Yeah, me too. I mean, you're a little hard to get off the mind." That may have something to do with the poster she has hanging on the ceiling above her bed at the dorms. Yes she's been told it's a little juvenile, no she doesn't care. Lifting the sweats and shirt with one hand, she looks around and then points in the general direction of where the washroom is. "Where.. can I change?"
Alex lets out an overdramatic sigh, bringing one hand up to rest on his forehead! "Le sigh! I suppose if you MUST go somewhere else to change, then you can use my bathroom." A dismissive wave with his hand is tossed in the general direction of where she was already pointing. "There's so much more room out here, though." Which may be a lie, considering how big of a bathroom he managed to score, with his excellent spending money skills… even though he's not paying for a dime of this penthouse.
It takes less than a minute for Lorna to enter and then emerge from the bathroom. She's a little red in the face as the wife beater doesn't exactly fit a woman the way it does a man, the arm holes are a bit too big but at least it's snug enough to keep everything contained. Adjusting the top and then the bottoms, she steps into view and then holds her arms out for inspection. "Do I look not comical?" Ideally, she's looking for gaga but she'll take anything short of him laughing her out of the apartment.
"I was going to go with beautiful." Alex replies, turning and leaning back against the wall that he's nearest. He's much too happy about this turn of events to be really worried about anything else at the moment. He's quite focused on the fact that he's got some hot babe with green hair in his apartment and her lack of anything substantial to wear. He is, more or less, just trying to get into those sweats. "Those look a little big, though." He flashes a grin. "Big enough for two." See?
"You think so? I'm not sure sure two would fit. I think I'd have to take them off." Lorna's giving him a huge smile. She's not really worried about getting back into her apartment or finishing her pedicure, purple toenails will just have to wait to get a topcoat. She returns to the couch, sitting back where he placed her when he carried her in. "So… I have to say I'm sorry I didn't make it up for margaritas. I wanted to call but I didn't know your number." Lifting her shoulders a little sheepishly, her smile wanes a little bit as she explains a little further. "I got a phone call from my mom."
"Eh. It's cool. You just owe me now." And without too much more issue, Alex is hopping over the back of the sofa and landing down next to her. That should make it much easier for them to talk and flirt and whatever else might develop. Maybe the spilling of bottles of water. Ahem. "I know all about Moms and their phone calls. My Mom, with her awesome self, calls me like twenty times a day. She's awesome though, so I just kinda' deal." Shrugging, Alex is leaning back into the sofa now, getting himself even more comfortable than he just was.
"I don't know, when it comes to awesome moms mine is pretty good. I mean, if we want to compare." Lorna counters, fully prepared to pit her massively fantastic mother against any other on the planet. "My mom was my manager for practically the entire time I was working for the makeup company. She was pretty smart about it, I got stocks in the company and everything. Probably not as much as you make, but I was never a big star." She turns on the sofa to face him, lifting one leg up to hug it to her chest.
Alex, quite possibly, wishes he was that leg right now. But he's not going to sit idly by when someone is trying to say that their mom is better than his. "Oh? Well, being big has gotten me quite a few things. But nothing quite compares to my Mom. She was never my manager, but she did come up to the school once in elementary and she totally beat up the mom of some kid that was picking on me." Alex flashes a grin, remembering the fun time he had watching it.
Getting into the game, Lorna scootches a little closer and rests her chin on the top of her knee. "Hmm.. Okay, my mom never beat up anyone, you win that one. You'll just have to see how awesome my mom is if you ever see her in person." Then her eyes widen just a little bit and she gives Alex another bright and excited smile. "Okay, here's how awesome my mom is… and you will HAVE to agree." The grin turns just a little bit coy and she leans in even closer to divulge her tiny secret. "My mom took me to see the first Fastlane movie, then she got me the theater poster after the run was over."
Alex's face lights up a little at hearing that. Which is why he's nodding and holds up his hands. "Whoa. Now that is pretty awesome." But then he's grinning even more, because he's got something else. "But! I'm afraid I'm going to have to own you again. Because, you see, my Mom was IN Fastlane." Alex tilts his head as he watches Lorna for a reaction. "You know that part in like… uh, the second chase scene. When I had to use a regular car to catch one of the badass racers? The lady I carjacked? That was Mom."
"No way! That wasn't your mom!" Lorna argues, giving him a playful slap on the arm. "That woman looked way too young to be a mom." She's not just blowing smoke at him, either the makeup department did a fabulous job, or his mother just takes really good care of herself. When the green haired woman adjusts her seating again to tuck her leg underneath her the sweats ride down to her hips, being just a little too loose for her waist. "Okay, you win again. But I really did think that I got you with the fact that my mom is your second biggest fan."
"She so was my Mom! She praxtically had to beg the director to let her on set and I was like, dude give her a cameo and it won't halt production any. And voila, my Mom's a movie star!" Alex grins a little bit more, thinking about his Mom and then turning his attention back to Lorna. "But! I think it's awesome that you and her are such big fans. In fact, you two are coming to the next red carpet premiere I have. On me."
Taking in a deep gasp of air Lorna just gives him a gaping stare. "Seriously? Are you for real? My mom would literally die! Well me too… but wow!" She lets out a delighted laugh and claps her hands together, holding them up against her face. After she calms down from her own internal celebration she just gives him a shake of the head. "Are you really for real? Because I don't think I've ever met a movie star that was so nice to his fans. I mean, everything I read about you just makes you that much nicer. And trust me, I've read practically everything written about you."
"Uh, yeah. My movie premiere, I can take who I want." Alex says this as if he's never really had a problem getting his way. Which, to be perfectly honest, he hasn't. Considering the fact that, well, he's Alex Masters. Who wouldn't want to give Alex Masters whatever he wanted. "I look at it like this. I am what I am because people love me enough to go see me act like other people on a huge screen for two hours. If I don't show love for these people then why would they even come see my next flick." Alex shrugs a bit, as if this isn't a big deal. "I guess it's just who I am. I'm loyal."
"Well, I guess I really owe you then." Lorna says in a softer and more appreciative tone. She rests her cheek against the side of the couch. Apparently, she just can't seem to wipe the smile off her face, the man is a real hero to audience members everywhere. "You know, we're having a slumber party at my school. I'm kind of organizing it. There's this one girl that's never seen your movies, so I'm bringing my set so we can all watch them together. And I really don't know why I'm telling you all of this… except wow… I'm sitting with Alex Masters. I have your poster up in my dorm room." Not mentioning the fact that it's on the ceiling.
"Slumber party, eh? Would this be an Over 18 Slumber Party?" Alex is trying his hardest to make sure that he's just sounding idly curious. But then again, it's sort of painfully obvious that he's interested for more than just curious reasons. He's never really been able to hide his tendency to want to dork anything that walks.
"Uhm… Under and over, actually. There will be some high school students there." She replies, her lips twitching at one corner. "Are you going to show up? Because I'm pretty sure I'd get suspended if I invited you too. I'm already riding a fine line there… for a few different reasons." Skipping classes. Breaking curfew. Using her powers on other students. She's a regular bad influence. Then she turns her head to run her fingers through her hair before looking back at him. "So, I'm dying to know… did you Google me?"
"Uh, I think I'll pass. Jailbait doesn't look good on my celebrity record." Alex is a little bit disappointed, that's for sure. But he gets over it when the topic came up. "Uh, yeah. You're like the background on my desktop." His words come out as if she should know this fact already. He almost can't believe that she doesn't get how hot she is. "Saw some pretty…. well, let's just say that I very much enjoyed the personal collection." Oh ho. What is he talking about, anyway.
"Personal collection?" The woman gulps once, then the redness creeps to her face. "Wh-which personal collection exactly?" Lorna is really hoping he didn't see all of the photos, a girl has to keep some things a mystery. Not that she hasn't Googled him in return, over and over, but still. "Did you see the…" Then her voice fades a little and she clears her throat. "Can I see the desktop picture?" The question, posed innocently enough, is really mostly to make sure that it isn't one of the more revealing ones. "I just want to make sure it's my best side." Now what's she talking about.
"Babe. You are your best side." It's the best he could come up with on such short notice. After all, he wasn't prepared to be dropping compliments all night. "But I can't show you the desktop. It's back in the bedroom." Alex quips this as innocently as he possibly can, considering that he's about to start going at this from a different angle. Hopefully, a more innocent approach will help him seal the deal. "So it looks like you'll have to wait to see that. Preferably not too long of a wait." Oooooh.
Raising one eyebrow, Lorna considers Alex for a moment before licking her lips. "How about now?" Compliments from Alex Masters always work. It's a fact that he should really know by now. If he's just acting (which she knows he's good at) then he's doing a great job of being innocent. "I'd understand if you don't want to show me your bedroom, especially since this is only the second time we've met but…" Pause for effect. "If you think about it, I've already shown up at your house mostly naked and I'm wearing your clothes."
"…" Alex has to actually pause before the grin creeps onto his features. "You serious? Please, be serious. Because I've been wanting to show you my bedroom since we met. No pressure." Alex just wants to make sure they're talking about the samr thing here. In addition to not trying to make her do anything she doesn't wan to. "I mean, I'm cool if you want to see it later. But, as you said, you /are/ wearing my clothes. I wouldn't mind giving you a reason to be…"
"Completely." Is the single word response before Lorna leans forward the rest of the way to press her lips against Alex's. He's got to be a better kisser than his poster, not that it reciprocated that afternoon she hung it up. If it isn't obvious by that, they are completely talking about the same thing. Not just because she really wants to see the picture he has up on his desktop but as he said on their first meeting. Alex Masters is a once in a lifetime experience and the girl from Iowa was going to experience it before it decides to fly away.
